WORKSHOP FROM THE YEAR 1966
Carletti Restoration Workshop was born in 1966 in the heart of Rome on a street near the famous Piazza Navona. When Otello Carletti retired in 1999, he left it in the hands of his son Maurizio.
Since then this artisan studio, unique in its quality, has brought to light fragments of history: the smells, colors and techniques of a former era. With his technical artistic heritage, handed down from father to son, Maurizio has a keen eye for detail, a delicate hand, and appreciation for using materials of only the best quality.
For 40 years Carletti Restoration Workshop has been developing and consolidating different techniques, specializing in the following activities:
Restoring ancient gold and silver
General restoration of plaster, leather, iron, resin, wood
Gold and silver furniture, chinoiseries, ceilings, walls, doors
Reproduction antiques, perfectly imitated
Faux marble
The love for this historic craft profession, unique in Rome, has given Carletti Restoration Workshop the opportunity to have many prominent clients in Italy and around the world: museums, auction houses, antique shops, embassies, private residences, and last but not least architectural design firms which, owing to the versatility of the techniques they use, can customize their projects with exclusivity and elegance.
